Ali became a solicitor following a successful career in the engineering and construction sectors. Ali is a recognised dispute resolution practitioner with experience at:

1. The NCAT;
2. The Local Court;
3. The District Court;
4. The Federal Court; and
5. The Supreme Court of NSW.

Ali takes a leading role in the Security of Payment Act (SOPA) adjudications for both applicants and respondents.

Ali excels at contract drafting and negotiation. He provides advice regarding project delivery, contract administration, and dispute avoidance.

In 2020, Ali gained praise within the NSW Annual Bar Report for improving access to justice. Alongside his commercial role, Ali routinely accepts referrals from the NSW Law Society’s Pro Bono Scheme. Outside work, Ali is a member of a charity and involved in community work assisting vulnerable Australians.
