Family Provision
In certain circumstances, where an eligible person (defined by s57 of the Succession Act 2006 (NSW)) has been left out a will, they may have a legitimate claim to a portion of the estate. These types of cases are known as Family Provision matters. Claimants may include widows and widowers, adult children, and if eligible, grandchildren or carers.
It is important that potential claimants consult with an expert in Family Provision claims.
